Juneteenth Celebration

Come celebrate and learn more about a historic day in history : Juneteenth!
Admission to the Park is FREE! Come hear the proclamation of General Order No. 3 read at the Park with acclaimed storyteller Michael Brundy. Then listen and interact with Allen Mack, founder of The Living History Foundation, and learn more about black Union engineers in Brownsville, TX. The Park will also be showcasing our newest film, created by Soul Rep Theatre, called Harriet Mason Reflections which depicts one woman’s WPA narrative about her enslaved life, the day she learned of her freedom, and her life as a freedwoman.
