Earning ranks is historical fun at the Park!
Visit Old City Park with your pack or den and experience history. We believe in living history, and as a part of that mission, we offer a variety of hands-on programs for Cub Scouts of all ages. Activities are aligned with various Cub Scout achievements and electives.
Self-Guided Tours
Price: $8/scout, $5/adult, $5/siblings (we ask to have at least 1 adult for every 5 scouts in attendance).
Tours must be booked a week in advance so materials can be supplied.
History Hike Patch
Ever wonder what life was like for boys in the late 1800s? This patch encourages scouts of all levels to tour the museum and investigate the daily life of pioneer and Victorians boys. The tour will lead you through multiple buildings and includes the instructions and supplies for various hands-on activities. This tour is self-guided, however all materials and information are provided when you check in. Tour must be booked in advanced.
Animal Antics Patch
Our Park is full of the sights, sounds, and even smells of life on the prairie. This self-guided tour will teach your scouts about the history of our animals breeds as well as basics of their care. Animals had many purposes in the 1800s, can you discover them all?
