Financial Literacy Badge Day
Price:$15/scout, Adults and siblings can get their tickets at the front gate (we ask to have at least 1 adult for every 5 scouts in attendance)
Join us at the village for a day of high finance on Main Street. Step up to the teller’s window in Citizen’s Bank to learn about Budgets & Business and Shopping & Saving by becoming a bank teller or pitching your new business idea. Stop by the Depot and figure out the best mode of transportation back and forth to your job as well as the how to spend your “vacation” time. Learn about women business owners, both big and small, when you stop by the Hotel and Shotgun House. Spend some time in the General Store working as a shopkeeper, or going shopping, and at the Alamo Saloon as Daisies, Brownies, Juniors, and Cadettes consider the cost of having fun while completing steps to earn their Girl Scout Financial Literacy 1 badge/leaf. Daisies earn their Money Counts badge, Brownies will earn their Money Manager badge, Juniors will earn their Business Owner badge, and Cadettes will earn their Budgeting badge. Badges are included in the price.
